About
Angela is a fully qualified and insured veterinary physiotherapist who also has a BSc in Equine Behavioural Science. While taking her undergraduate Angela realised that many horses with behaviour problems are struggling with some degree of pain or discomfort. It was to this end that she decided to become a veterinary physiotherapist - to help horses. Along the way Angela also discovered that she enjoyed treating dogs as well and is forever looking to expand her knowledge of both species in order to provide the best care possible.
Why Veterinary Physiotherapy?
Veterinary physiotherapy aims to reduce pain and restore functional movement in animals. Qualified vet physios have in-depth knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and pathologies, biomechanics, manual therapy techniques such as massage and stretching, and knowledge of electrotherapeutic modalities. And importantly, vet physios are trained to know when certain therapies are contraindicated and should not be performed.
